Derek Trowbridge
Derek Trowbridge, 38, of Cameron, WV, passed away on Sunday, April 12th, 2026.
He was born on February 8th, 1988, the son of Ronald and Amy (Christopher) Trowbridge.
He graduated from Cameron High School in 2006, and attended First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Cameron.
Derek’s favorite times and fondest memories were spent with his family, and with beloved friends who became family to him. He especially enjoyed playing with his nieces Enslee and Adelaide, and his nephew Dutton, all of whom he adored.
Derek cherished riding four wheelers with his two best friends Ashley and Dan, dancing his heart out at his sisters’ weddings, and challenging his sisters and friends to a good game of Phase 10.
His first dance with Ashley and a cross-country drive with Dan will never be forgotten, and he relished time spent at the beach, his absolute favorite place to be.
Derek’s career in the airline industry brought him great joy, satisfaction, and purpose. He worked as a flight attendant and in customer service, where he thrived at helping others find their way on their journeys, showing kindness and respect to everyone.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his maternal grandparents, Robert and Joy
Christopher, his paternal grandmother Patricia Trowbridge, his two sisters Cassidy (Andrew)
McKinney of Denver, CO and Natalie (Derek) Lashley of Barnesville, OH, his two nieces Enslee and Adelaide Lashley, his nephew Dutton Lashley, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Derek
was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ronald Trowbridge, Sr.
