Monday, April 6, 2026

1:48 am – officer on County Road 122 for a vehicle in the ditch.

9:29 am – officer on South Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

10:04 am – officer on North Chestnut Street near the library annex for a traffic stop.

11:15 am – officer on East Main Street near Walgreens for a traffic stop.

12:57 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.

4:42 pm – caller reporting that there is a small white truck  being driven by a man with a child on his lap. The truck was near the library annex.

7:36 pm – caller from Mackey Drive reporting that a ten-year old niece was asked over the internet to send nude pictures. The person requesting the pictures is a fourteen-year-old boy.

8:03 pm – caller states kids running from a pick-up truck at the road going into the middle school. She heard the kids yelling. Officer had negative contact but will patrol the area.

10:31 pm – officer on East Main Street near Bethesda Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for speed.

11:10 pm – officer on South Chestnut Street near Legget Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for blue underglo.

Tuesday, April 7, 2026

12:39 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

8:10 am – 911 informs an officer about a male customer harassing the manager.

8:22 am – officer on Mackey Drive picking up a student’s backpack.

9:37 am – officer on Mackey Drive meeting with the property manager.

12:08 pm – officer on South Gardner Street following up with a complaint.

1:01 pm – officer on East Church Street following up with a complaint.

2:46 pm – officer on East Church Street following up with a complaint.

5:12 pm – male on station to speak with an officer.

5:48 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

5:57 pm – officer on East Church Street  with a woman who wants to report a theft.

6:34 pm – officer on North Broadway Street for a follow up investigation from a previous call.

7:53 pm – 911 reports a caller from North Street called twice and wasn’t making sense. Welfare check performed. The woman is well and did not mean to call.

8:35 pm – officer on Pine Lane for a traffic stop. Citation issued for no OL – operator’s license.

9:17 pm – caller states he used to deal cocaine in Barnesville 10 years ago. He wanted us to be aware of this fact.

9:19 pm – officer advised that a male flagged him down.

9:35 pm – caller from previous call at 9:17 stating that he didn’t do meth. He reports other issues in his life. He wants to be arrested by a woman police officer.

10:33 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop. Male was standing in the street.

11:47 pm – checking on a couple of trucks.

Wednesday, April 8, 2026

4:08 am – officer on East Main Street near Riesbeck’s for a traffic stop.

4:43 am – officer on Arch Street with a male that is slumped over the steering wheel. Officer reported all is well.

6:39 am – officer on East Main Street near Riesbeck’s for a traffic stop. Warning issued for trailer lights.

8:40 am – West Church Street parking violation.

9:03 am – alarm drop on East Main Street. Workers are fixing the building and will be there for about a week.

9:25 am – caller reports she drove her motorcycle to a residence and the man there will not let her have the motorcycle back. She lives in Piedmont area. She was advised to contact the sheriff’s department. 

5:04 pm – caller from Pine Lane reporting three solicitors going door-to-door and are heading toward Morgantown Avenue.

8:17 pm – caller asking if we want any Gatorade to give him a call.

8:38 pm – caller from Bethesda Street requests officer to help with a situation with her vehicle.

8:40 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

9:18 pm – caller reports she found her car key. She also believes someone may have entered her home. She wants to talk to an officer.

10:41 pm – officer on Bethesda Street extension for a traffic stop.

Thursday, April 9, 2026

2:19 am – male signed himself out of a facility and was walking about. He was not at the facility by court order. Caller states they are following policy to notify the police.

2:39 am – officer on West Main Street with the person who signed himself out of the facility.

4:00 am – officer on Airport Road for a traffic stop.

8:34 am – officer assisting the EMS squad.

10:40 am – caller wanting information on solicitor’s permit who was told the village no longer issues permits.

1:17 pm – 911 asked if an officer could check Riesbeck’s. They received two hang up calls. Officer reports everything checked out.

3:43 pm – caller reports he was picking up pizza at Domino’s and noticed a loose window in the building next door.

4:52 pm – caller report his father told him that he had received a call from a man who said he was from Homeland Security based in Barnesville. He requested bank information to monitor whether or not it is being used by terrorist. This is a scam. Caller said his father did not share  any information.

5:23 pm – male caller states that he is against castration of animals. He would also like to legalize crystal meth.

8:11 pm – officer on South Gardner Street near the thrift store for a traffic stop.

8:22 pm – officer on Pine Lane for a traffic stop.

9:26 pm – caller would like to report that her neighbors are smoking cigarettes. She wants them to stop as her son has asthma. She was directed to contact the apartment manager.

9:28 pm – Caller asks if her daughter can drive an unlicensed side-by-side to the high school on a special FFA day. She was told the side-by-side needs to inspected and plated before driving it on the roadway.

11:17 pm – officer on East Main Street near the BellStores for a traffic stop.

Friday, April 10, 2026

3:25 am – officer on Somerton Highway for a traffic stop.

 9:48 am – caller from Legget Avenue stating there is a bunny in the roadway that appears to be injured. When officer arrived, the bunny was gone.

12:00 pm – caller states he received a scam call that someone is posing as the Barnesville Police wanting bank info. The fake officer reportedly wanted the information to investigate medical fraud.

12:40 pm – caller stating that they received a scam call.

12:41 pm – another caller reporting scam call.

1:42 pm – caller from South Lincoln Avenue reports a person is letting his dog run loose. Dog is currently loose.

2:07 pm – individuals on station to talk to an officer.

2:40 pm – officer on East Main Street near Grace Avenue assisting with traffic control. A disabled school bus is in the roadway.

4:33 pm – individual on station for a follow up investigation with an officer.

7:45 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street near Laws Street for a traffic stop.

8:03 pm – caller from Wiley Avenue reports someone has turned off the security camera. He is not home and would like a check of his residence. Items were stolen from this address in the past. Officers searched the area. A female suspect is detained.

8:52 pm – 911 reports they had a hang up call from Henderson Street. They called the number back but could only hear barking dogs. They wanted an officer to check the location. 911 was advised that our officers are on pursuit at this time.

9:03 pm – caller reports there is an out of state vehicle driving around town. He said they told him that they were looking for an address and could find it on their own. Caller wanted police to know if someone calls in a complaint.

9:10 pm – 911 called back about the 911 call that was a hang up. Officer was enroute this time and reported back that the call was accidental.

9:28 pm – officer on East Church Street for a traffic stop.

11:17 pm – person requesting extra patrols.

11:24 pm – caller states that he wants to play a song about Satan for the dispatcher. When told he had called the police department, he stated that he just wanted to talk to someone. The caller became upset when told the call was ending.

11:55 pm – alarm drops at the rear door exit on East Main Street location. Officer reports the back door is secure.

Saturday, April 11, 2026

12:35 am – female caller from Grandview Street report hearing an alarm in the area. Officer reported that it was the alarm from the previous call at 11:55 p.m.

1:07 am – officer on East Main Street near Cheffy’s Drug for a traffic stop.

2:17 am – officer on Lincoln Avenue with an intoxicated male who can’t move. Officer following the EMS squad to the hospital.

9:19 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

1:22 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

1:45 pm – caller reporting a husky dog is loose at Memorial Park. Office contacted the owner. The dog will be taken home.

6:31 pm – officer on Shannon Road for a traffic stop.

7:08 pm – officer on South Chestnut Street regarding a male outside screaming at the top of his lungs. The male is carrying alcohol. The male is back inside his residence and then came back outside. He is waving an axe saying if the police come up again, he is going to kill them. Male said he is on drugs right now.

7:45 pm – caller from North Broadway Street reports young kids playing in the roadway. Caller is afraid the kids may get hit by a vehicle. Dispatcher spoke with the father who said they were supposed to be playing in the backyard.

8:01m pm – caller from South Chestnut Street reports a male walking, yelling and cursing. He appears to be under the influence of something. Officer didn’t locate him on South Broadway Street or South Garnder Street but found him near Subway. Male is in custody.

8:29 pm – caller reports individuals are driving a homemade motorcycle on Park and Laws streets. It is very loud with no plates. Individuals are reportedly drinking, the situation going on for an hour and a half. Officer did not see or hear anything in the area.

8:44 pm – 911 called reporting a vehicle with no lights departing 1-70 heading toward Barnesville.

8:48 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop. This is the vehicle from the previous call at 8:44 p.m.

9:01pm – caller asking permission to burn in a fire pit, was told to contact the fire department.

11:10 pm – report of an intoxicated male. EMS enroute.

Sunday, April 12, 2026

5:49 am – officer on West Main Street near the WVU annex for a traffic stop. Citation issued for expired tags.

11:36 am – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

1:29 pm –caller from Mackey Drive reports someone tried to break into her apartment. She could hear them using a card to try to pry open the front door. She saw a person in a hoodie running off.

1:54 pm – officer on Fairmont Avenue for a vehicle lockout.

4:17 pm – property manager for the Plumly Townhomes called for a welfare check. The carbon monoxide alarm has been going off all day. Officer contacted the resident and all is well.

4:29 pm – caller from a Plumly Townhomes about someone calling the police about her carbon monoxide alarm. She reports a neighbor is harassing her.

5:11 pm – officer on East Pike Street with the K9 dog for a traffic stop. Positive indication for drugs. Two people were detained.

7:19 pm – caller from Mackey Drive reports while dropping off his children, he can smell an odor. Caller requests an officer check it out. Caller was told an officer is already at the complex on another matter. Officer reports he does not smell an odor.

8:30 pm – caller reports striking a deer near Beeology on East Main Street. The deer ran off. Caller wanted to file a report in case the insurance company needs a report.

10:58 pm – caller from Watt Avenue reports possible construction taking place since around 3:00 pm. Officer patrolled the area and heard nothing.
