Batesville/Beaver Township Spring Clean Up

Beaver township residents and Village of Batesville residents please note the  

Spring Clean Up will take place Saturday May 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

A waste bin will be located at the Batesville park provided by Buckey Disposal

Items that are not accepted: Anything containing freon, tires, car or truck batteries, propane tanks, latex paint needs to be dried to a solid with lids removed

Barnesville Public Water System Consumer Confidence Report Available

The 2025 edition of the Consumer Confidence Report for the Village of Barnesville Public Water System has been published.  This brochure is printed to supply information and data on the village’s water system and quality of water served to consumers.

Copies are available online or by checking the box on the April water bill, returning it to water department office requesting a printed copy be mailed to the billing address.  The report is also available to view at the Barnesville Water Department Office, 126 East Church Street, or by calling 740-425-3672.

Barnesville School Board April Meeting  

It was announced at the March BOE meeting that the April monthly meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23 at the Middle School Cafetorium.

The original scheduled meeting date was April 16.

Northern Monroe County Recycling Drop Off Schedule

Malaga – Bush Church of Christ on April 20-21, May 18-19, June 15-16

Beallsville – Street Department Lot on April 21-22, May 19 – 20, June 16-17

Items accepted at these sites: cardboard, paperboard, newspapers, magazines, catalogs, office paper, junk mail. #1 and #2 plastics, tin, steel and aluminum cans, clear, brown and green glass. Shredded paper may be placed in clear bags, newspapers and magazines may be bound with string/twine.

Funding for the program is provide by the SE Ohio Joint Solid Waste Management District, operated by Noble County Recycling, 7i40-732-5493

Seneca Township Mowing Bids

Seneca Township will accept bids for “mowing, trimming and cleaning stones at the Calais Cemetery and cemetery entrance.

Bids will be opened at 4:30 p.m., April 22 during a special meeting of the trustees.

Interested parties must be 18 years of age, furnishing their own equipment and fuel. They must also provide proof of insurance.  

Bid offers should be per mowing, not the entire season with the trustees having the discretion on when the mowing will take place.

The trustees reserve the right to reject any or all bids.

Bids may be sealed and marked as “Mowing Bid” and mailed to the Township Fiscal Officer, 29612 SR 78, Lewisville, OH 43754 by April 21.
