Barnesville Women Buckeye 8 Track and Field Co-Champs
ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Barnesville’s women track and field team came out on top as co-champs at the Buckeye 8 Championships at the Red Devils’ stadium Tuesday night.
Host St. Clairsville and Barnesville tied for the crown with 102 points each out of a field of 12 teams. Cambridge came in a close third with 98 points.
On the men’s side, the Shamrocks came in 7th out of 11 teams with 49 points. St. Clairsville was also the top team on the men’s side of the ledger.
Buckeye 8 member teams participating were Barnesville, Beaver Local, Bellaire, Buckeye Local (women’s team only) Brooke, Cambridge, East Liverpool, Harrison Central, Indian Creek, Martins Ferry and Union Local.
