Louise Mae (Murphy) Seletyn

Louise Mae Seletyn, 85, of Barnesville passed away at the Enclave of Barnesville on April 22, 2026.  She was born on July 1, 1940 in Piedmont, Ohio to the late Paul and Berdena (William) Murphy.

Louise was a waitress in her earlier days and then became a homemaker.  She was a graduate and the Homecoming Queen of the Barnesville Class of ’58.  Louise was a member of the Oak Grove Methodist Church in Piedmont.  She enjoyed doing needlepoint crafts and word search puzzles.  She liked gardening and taking walks.  She loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Maxine Clever, Inez Hall, Betty Bond, Mary Robb.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Donna (Chris) Watson of Piedmont; grandson, Ryan Seletyn; brothers, James (Jean) Murphy, Robert (Tommye) Murphy, both of Hebron; and many nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank the Enclave of Barnesville for the services and special care for Louise.

There are no services at the time but there will be a Celebration of Life scheduled at a later date.  Wilson Funeral Home, Barnesville Chapel, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713 is honored to assist the family.
