Monday, April 13, 2026

12:40 pm – caller asks to speak with an officer about filing a complaint against a business.

12:59 pm – caller wants to know how many times “unit” had complaints called in. Dispatcher responded eight calls were made to the police department about this “unit” since March 1st.

1:01 pm – caller wishes to file a complaint about identity theft.

1:57 pm – person from West Main Street on station regarding his neighbor dumping a truckload of trash in their yard. Officer enroute to the residence. Officer searched for prior abatement records but found none.

3:31 pm – caller wants information about a March 28 incident. Caller also wants to talk with an officer.

4:34 pm – officer with the Belmont County Sheriff’s office attempting to serve a warrant on Hall-Boston Road in Warren Township.

6:06 pm – officer on West Main Street to serve abatement papers. Officer reports negative contact.

6:49 pm – semi-truck on Cole Street at West Main Street blocking the roadway. The unit is unable to get turned around and is about to drive through private yards.

8:20 pm – officer on Hunts Avenue serving court paperwork.

Tuesday, April 14, 2026

1:41 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

6:08 am – officer on South Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

11:07 am – caller wants to know who is responsible for emptying the trash barrel at the South 16 boat ramp at Slope Creek. The barrel is full. People are throwing trash on the ground.

1:01 pm – female caller wants an update on her case.

1:14 pm – officer on East Main Street for a vehicle lockout.

1:37 pm – male caller reports identity theft. The VA officer told him to file a report with the police department to establish a paper trail.

3:31 pm – caller from East Church Street reporting neighbors are fighting. Screaming and slamming doors overhead. A female from the address got into a car.

4:28 pm – caller from previous call reports that the female went back into the house. Caller is worried that the situation will become physical. Officer reported that he had negative contact with parties.

6:57 pm – caller from Franklin Street reports downed non-electric utility lines.

7:28 pm – officer on Westview Drive for a traffic stop.

9:47 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

Wednesday, April 15, 2026

12:52 am – caller from High Street reports a gun was pulled on her daughter. Parties have separated and both children are leaving with the daughter.

4:58 am – officer on Morgantown Avenue assisting EMS squad.

10:55 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

2:24 pm – officer on East Main Street at Cedar Street for a traffic stop.

2:33 pm – officer on East Main Street for a vehicle lockout. Officer providing a ride to the person who is locked out.

3:25 pm – caller reports finding a diaper bag on the sidewalk at Mulberry Street.

5:09 pm – caller reports a male vehicle driver got out and staggered inside of a residence. Caller states that the person has no license.

6:00 pm – caller from McGhee Drive report neighbors are riding 4-wheelers creating excessive noise. Caller has a massive headache as a result of the noise.

6:08 pm – male on station wanting to ask police to escort him to see his child. Police do not provide escorts in such situations.

7:13 pm – rape reported in Barnesville.

8:25 pm – officer on Leggett Avenue and South Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

9:54 pm – caller from Fair Street reports a window is broken out on the front of a house with glass strewn about the roadway. Officer reports that the glass is from a passenger vehicle window.

10:13 pm – officer on foot patrol on business check.

Thursday, April 16, 2026

3:39 am – alarm drop on East Main Street. All appears secure.

6:13 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

9:38 am – caller from East Church Street reports neighbors are fighting again. Male didn’t give permission for the female to be in the residence. Officer granted permission to escort the female out of the house.

12:44 pm – caller reports when she went shopping, she shut the garage door. When she returned home, the door was open. She wants the change noted.

2:11 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street assisting  EMS squad.

6:19 pm – caller reports that at the base of a flood light pole, a ground electric box is smoking near the alley by the car wash on South Gardner Street. Call transferred to 911 to tone out the fire department.

6:34 pm – Fire Chief requests police contact the maintenance person for the car wash on S. Gardner.

6:37 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop.

6:49 pm – officer on Morgantown Avenue for a follow up investigation. Officer made contact with the male.

8:27 pm – caller from Morgantown Avenue states that when visiting son, the mother of the boy came outside and laid hands on the caller. Officer requested.

9:06 pm – The Ohio State Highway Patrol requests an officer check on a deer in the roadway on South State Route 800 near State Route 148. Injured deer is in the roadway and alive.

Friday, April 17, 2026

12:49 am – caller from Walton Avenue reports an open door on a residence currently offered for sale.  

3:31 am – officer on North Arch Street for parking complaint. Ticket issued.

9:20 am – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop. Warning issued for speed.

10:53 am – officer on Shady Lane regarding a sectional and bags of trash in the yard. No contact achieved with owners.

12:22 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop. Written warning issued for speed.

12:36 pm – officer on Railroad Street for a traffic stop. Citation issued.

1:17 pm – domestic situation on Wiley Avenue currently underway. Female caller reports man  threw her down onto her back. Man left. Officer unable to locate the subject.

3:00 pm – report of a broken-down vehicle blocking Shamrock Drive.

4:23 pm – report of an accident between a vehicle and motorcycle on McMillan Road. Dispatcher called The Ohio State Highway Patrol. Local officer assisted.

4:29 pm – caller from North Arch Street regarding attempts to get a waterline repaired. Dispatcher told the caller dirt has been in the roadway for some time. Owner needs to get the property cleaned up and restored.

7:23 pm – caller wants an officer to come to her apartment to smell odor related to neighbor who complains she is doing drugs. Caller was advised this is a civil matter that needs directed to the complex management.

8:04 pm – caller from South Broadway Street complaining there is a dog inside a residence barking non-stop for seven hours.

8:07 pm – warrant service, negative contact.

8:28 pm – officer on South Broadway Street attempting to serve a warrant.

10:00 pm – caller from West Main Street regarding some sort of altercation related to a group of teenagers screaming at each other. Officer patrolled the area with negative contact.

10:09 pm – caller reports a bike on the ground at Dollar General. It appears someone is laying on the ground near the freezer. Officer reported that it is a juvenile who was waiting for his mother to get off work.

11:45 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

Saturday, April 18, 2026

1:04 am – caller from Henderson Street reports yelling and screaming in the area.

4:14 am – officer on Bond Avenue for a traffic stop.

5:40 am – officer on Park Street for a traffic stop.

5:56 am – officer on North Arch Street for a traffic stop.

9:02 am – two car accident reported on Joe Jefferis Road.

9:18 am – caller asked about dropping off unused prescriptions at the police station. Caller told there is a drop box on station.

10:49 am – caller from Shady Lane reports they will have the property cleaned up by Monday.

11:59 am – report of a disabled vehicle out of gas on North State Route 800.

12:03 pm – officer on Fair Street for a vehicle lockout.

12:08 pm – male caller reports there is a tree in the roadway on Railroad Street. Tree cleared from the street/walking trail.

12:21 pm – officer on North Lincoln Avenue and North Arch Street for a car blocking the alley way. It was a landscaping crew unloading mowers.

1:14 pm – male on station requesting assistance for keys locked inside of a vehicle. Vehicle was unlocked.

2:20 pm – officer flagged down on North Arch Street by a female reporting a noise complaint. Officer advises if it occurs again, call the police.

3:33 pm – caller from East Main Street reports a truck parked in the no parking spot in a lot. Others  cannot cannot drive through the lot.

7:11 pm – female caller asks for an officer to speak to her daughter.

7:11 pm – child on station from previous call with mother.

8:16 pm – officer on East Church Street for an open back door. Officer reports everything is good and building is secure.

10:36 pm – officer on West Main Street for a traffic stop.

Sunday, April 19, 2026

4:19 am – officer on North Arch and East Church streets for a traffic stop.

6:17 am – officer on State Route 147 near Tacoma for a traffic stop.

6:32 am – officer on East Church Street business for an open door. Back door at the location is secure.

7:05 am – officer on Mackey Drive for a warrant service.

1:07 pm – officer on Park Street assisting EMS squad.

3:24 pm – caller reports smelling burnt plastic.

6:00 pm – 911 call from North Street. Call made by mistake.
