Buckeye 8 Junior High Track and Field Championships
Cadiz – Barnesville’s boys and girls teams did well at the Buckeye 8 Championships that took place at Harrison Central on Thursday.
The boys came in 4th place out of 11 with 86.5 points. Host Harrison Central claimed the top spot for boys with 111 points. Beaver Local and Cambridge came in second and third.
Barnesville girls were 7th with 48 points. The Red Devils of St. Clairsville ran away with championship with 172.67 points, far outdistancing second place East Liverpool’s 83.5 points.
Teams participating in the contest were from Barnesville, Beaver Local, Bellaire, Buckeye Local, Cambridge, East Liverpool, Harrison Central, Indian Creek, Martins Ferry, St. Clairsville and Union Local.
