Barnesville Green Broncos Launch Season with a Shutout
The Shamrocks scored 7 runs in the top of the 1st inning, highlighted by Gavin Smith’s 3 run homer over the left field fence.
Kason Keiger turned in a commanding pitching performance to earn a win that included four shutout innings. He gave up just 4 hits, striking out 11 batters and issued just one walk.
Jaxson Humphrey stepped in pitching a scoreless fifth inning with 2 strikeouts.
Offensively Barnesville pounded out 12 hits. Jaxson Humphrey had 2 hits with 2 RBI’s as did Jase Hendershot. Anthony Welch scored one RBI.
Colton Roe knocked in three runs on two hits, while Hank Jefferis scored one run on one hit.
Keiger had two hits and Braxton McCloud had one. Brogan Shilling hit a solo homer over the right center field fence in the 5th .
