The Shamrocks took care of business on the road Friday night with a convincing 12-0 win over Shenandoah.
Blake Burkhart was excellent on the mound scattering 6 hits over 6 innings to earn the mound victory. He struck out 8 batters and only walked two.
Parker Sobutka stepped in and pitched a scoreless 7th inning to preserve the shutout.
Offensively, Barnesville collected 6 hits, led at the plate by Brayden Watters (3 RBI) with two hits.
Dylan Blon, Cole Atkinson, Max Miller, Parker Sobutka and Jack Anderson each contributed a hit apiece and a run batted in.
The victory raises the team’s record to 11-3 on the season.
Jr. Varsity Baseball
Barnesville – 5, Union Local – 2
The Shamrock Junior Varsity team defeated Union Local on the road Friday night, 5-2 in 10 innings.
The victory raises their record to 10-4 on the season.
Barnesville – 4, Wheeling Park – 2
The Shamrock Junior Varsity team defeated Wheeling Park at home Thursday night, 4-2.
