Norma “Jackie” Jean Buckius

Norma “Jackie” Jean Buckius, 81, of Flushing, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

Jackie was born on December 4, 1944, in McConnelsville, a daughter of the late Henry and Kathryn (Hook) Abrams.

Jackie worked at Cambridge Health Care for twenty-five years. She loved watching her Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers play football.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Buckius, two sisters, Claire Hunter and Barb Goring, and her daughter-in-law, Linda Buckius.

Jackie leaves behind her children, Robert (Sis Mosley) Buckius of Cambridge, Brenda (Shawn) Buckius) of Zanesville, and Tina (Tom) Edgell of Flushing, eight grandkids, eighteen great-grandkids, five great-great-grandkids, and many nieces and nephews. She loved everyone and they loved her.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 1, from 11am to 1pm at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. Funeral Services will follow at 1pm with Rev. Randolph White officiating.

Burial will immediately follow the services at Guernsey County Memory Gardens.
