Patty Lou (Crum) Van Dyne

Patty Lou Crum Van Dyne, 85, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away, Sunday, April 26, 2026 in the home that she loved following a long illness. She was born January 22, 1941 in Beallsville, a daughter of the late Joseph Roscoe and Freda Mae Howell Crum.

Patty Lou was a member of the Beallsville Church of Christ and the Better Beallsville Bureau.  She could always be counted on to volunteer her time to any project or job that needed done in and around the  Beallsville Community.  Patty Lou’s sense of humor, her smile, her energy, and most importantly, her love and deep commitment to her family, will be remembered by everyone who knew her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Randy “Hoss” Hudson on August 8, 2025; her husband, Chester Eugene Van Dyne on January 20, 2026; also by sisters, Velma Hickman, Hazel Jenewein, and Zella Caldwell; brothers, Chalmer Crum, Bernard Crum, Clayton Crum, and Gerald Crum.

Left to treasure her memory are daughters, Cheryl (Ray) Cole and Wendy (Dale) Roman; sons, Bill (Brenda) Hudson; Raymond (Shawn) Van Dyne, Jeff (Kelly) Van Dyne; daughter-in-law, Tammy Hudson; grandchildren, Tara, Michael, Derek, Amber, Brandon, and Paige, Austin, Kelsie, Katarina, Zachary; great-grandchildren,  Hayden, Carter, Colton, Hunter, Bryson, Jace, Camden, Bode, Stella, Eli, Kase, Owen, and Sawyer; three sisters, Joan Decker, Freda Mae Barkheimer, and Donna Ruth Kettering; also many  nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 30 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Wilson Funeral Home – Harper Chapel, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Friday, May 1 at 11am with Jeff Rich offering words of comfort.  Interment follows in Beallsville Cemetery. – Harper Chapel, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Friday, May 1 at 11am with Jeff Rich offering words of comfort.  Interment follows in Beallsville Cemetery.
