Monday, April 20, 2026
6:10 am – call from the Barnesville Hospital Emergency Department reporting a combative patient enroute to the facility by an EMS squad. Hospital requests officer for assistance.
8:55 am – attempting to serve an abatement order for a junk vehicle located on South Broadway Street. Negative contact with the owner of the vehicle.
10:06 am – Ohio State Highway Patrol reports a Chevy truck coming from Bethesda being driven recklessly. The vehicle is moving at a low speed but all over the roadway.
10:24 am – call from Railroad Street reporting a truck blocking the bike path. Officer reports the truck will be moved.
12:38 pm – report of an unruly 10-year-old on Mackey Drive throwing things and causing problems.
2:45 pm – individuals on station to talk with officer about a possible domestic situation.
2:58 pm – bus drivers complaining about reckless e-bikes on East Main Street.
3:03 pm – officer on Shamrock Drive with a group of kids on e-bikes. Officer had the boys contact their parents.
3:17 pm – vehicle lockout on East Main Street.
5:19 pm – call received about a Jeep coming into town from Bethesda at a high rate of speed while passing other vehicles over double yellow lines. Officer contacted the driver who was told to slow down. Driver stated he wasn’t going over 80 mph.
8:28 pm – officer assisting EMS squad with transporting a patient.
9:39 pm – caller requests extra patrols on Wiley Avenue. Two people walking on the street were not recognized.
10:18 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street. Male driver states he just bought the vehicle and cannot show proof of insurance. Driver was instructed to park the vehicle until proof of insurance can be produced.
11:05 pm – Officer checking on a couple that have been sitting in a vehicle for about a couple of hours. They state everything is fine and they are just talking.
11:10 pm – male caller states that his ex-girlfriend won’t return his Apple watch. He was advised to come to the station and file a report and talk to an officer.
Tuesday, April 21, 2026
12:36 am – traffic stop on Gobblers Knob.
1:21 am – traffic stop on East South Street. Open container in plain view. Citation for Driving Under Suspension and open container.
9:35 am – male on station to talk to an officer about a property maintenance issue.
10:51 am – officer requests EMS squad to the Middle School for a student with a head injury.
2:50 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street near the library.
2:58 pm – traffic stop on Bailey Road.
4:47 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.
6:16 pm – female caller requests information on how to obtain a restraining order and eviction notice. She was advised to come to the station to file a complaint and speak to an officer.
6:55 pm – medical emergency on Louise Lane for 18-month-old infant experiencing seizures.
7:33 pm – male on station filing a complaint against another man who is presently living with him.
8:33 pm – officer flagged down by a female who wants to file a civil report.
9:32 pm – officer on South Gardner Street with juveniles.
10:02 pm – officer on North Broadway Street regarding a rear open door at a vacant house. House is clear and secured.
11:36 pm – traffic stop on North Arch Street near lower parking lot. Citation issued.
Wednesday, April 22, 2026
12:47 am – caller from High Street reporting there are people in her car. Officer reports negative contact.
6:03 pm – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.
2:21 pm – caller from East Pike Street reports a car speeding down the street.
4:23 pm – Guernsey County Sheriff Department called requesting contact with a person regarding a deceased family member. Officer reports negative contact.
4:43 pm – female caller from Hendrysburg reports a cat is stuck in a tree. She was advised that Hendrysburg is out of jurisdiction.
5:15 pm – department helping a child on Sycamore Street catch her dog. Dog is caught and returned home on Lincoln Avenue.
5:34 pm – call from East South Street from a woman concerned about her son’s behavior.
5:52 pm – assisting EMS on Henderson Street for a man experiencing seizures. Male refused EMS assistance. Officer took him to father’s home on East South Street.
8:32 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.
9:04 pm – officer with disabled car.
Thursday, April 23, 2026
12:26 am – traffic stop at Memorial Park.
5:53 am – traffic stop on Chestnut Street/Main Street.
10:10 am – vehicle lockout on North Gardner Street.
10:15 am – individual on station to talk with an officer about a tenant tearing up property.
10:38 am – officer on South Lincoln Avenue regarding a male with mental issues. EMS enroute.
4:38 pm – caller reporting a scam caller who promised to bring her a television.
6:31 pm – caller from Fair Street reports someone is threatening him about taking pictures.
6:57 pm – BELO out of Guernsey County for a person furloughed from the Guernsey County Jail to the Southeastern Medical Center. Person left the hospital.
8:25 pm – person from the previous call was located in Noble County.
Friday, April 24, 2026
12:55 am – possible domestic situation on East Main Street.
12:55 am – traffic stop on North State Route 800.
10:11 am – male on station requesting to pick up a phone from the evidence room. Phone cannot be released at this time.
1:28 pm – female caller reports her ex is harassing and threatening her. She plans to stop on the station and talk to an officer.
2:12 pm – caller reports he bought a vehicle from an individual and now is having issues with the purchase. He was advised it is a civil matter, and the police do not handle civil matters.
2:13 pm – investigating a neighbor complaint on Washington Street.
4:32 pm – female calling about the confiscated phone in police custody.
6:07 pm – male on station about being pulled over and given a warning for a loud truck. Male states his truck is factory made and not modified in anyway.
6:21 pm – female caller states ex-husband was supposed to return her daughter at 6:00 pm. She was advised this is a civil matter.
7:10 pm – investigating a complaint on Leggett Street about two children riding electric dirt bikes on the street. Officer had negative contact with the two.
9:36 pm – traffic stop on East Walnut Street.
9:39 pm – traffic stop on East South Street.
10:22 pm – possible domestic situation on West Church Street.
11:04 pm – male caller reports there is a loud party near his residence on West Leatherwood Pike. Officer spoke with the partygoers, and they say they will keep the noise down.
Saturday, April 25, 2026
12:21 am – traffic stop on South Lincoln Avenue.
1:39 am – traffic stop attempted on Pigeon Point Road. Officer reports the driver took off and he was terminating pursuit.
2:50 am – officer on West Main Street for a walk through.
6:05 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.
9:06 am – vehicle lockout on South Gardner Street.
2:47 pm – female caller from Hunts Avenue reports graffiti on the road. The painting is a smiley face.
8:05 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Citation issued.
9:08 pm – investigating a complaint on South Chestnut Street. Officer was flagged down about a person sitting near the roadway.
9:24 pm – traffic stop on Louise Lane.
9:52 pm – traffic stop on East Walnut Street.
11:49 pm – officer on Watt Avenue checking on a vehicle parked in the middle of the road.
Sunday, April 26, 2026
12:02 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.
12:45 am – traffic stop on Gobblers Knob.
12:54 am – caller reports neighbors are outside their residence, are highly intoxicated and a female is lying in the middle of the street. EMS squad enroute as the female was possibly in a fight at a bar.
3:47 am – traffic stop on Gobblers Knob. Warning issued for headlights.
4:06 am – suspicious person reported. Sister is coming to pick him up.
1:07 pm – welfare check requested for a child that fell yesterday and is not feeling well.
4:45 pm – call received about a cattle truck on West South Street that struck a power pole creating a mess. AEP contacted.
5:15 pm – caller states they lost their dog and is trying to figure out which animal shelter to contact. Advised to call the Belmont County Animal Shelter.
8:16 pm – 911 reports they received a crash notification from an iPhone that indicates the source from South Chestnut between Cemetery and Vine streets. Officer reports no accident found in the area.
