Barnesville Schools: May Menus Released

Barnesville Schools Director of Food and Nutrition, Brian Saner, shared the May breakfast and lunch menus. Remember that all students can eat breakfast and lunch free this year. Extras are available for an additional charge.

May 1 was School Lunch Hero Day. The cafeteria staff prepares approximately 1,600 meals per day, ensuring that Barnesville students are fed nutritious food so they can focus on learning. The nutrition group had special activities to show their appreciation, including banners hung in the cafeterias that students and staff signed.

Director Sanor conducted a Food Fight survey to receive student input on what entries they enjoyed over the past school year. The results will help drive next year’s menus.

During May, students will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a Beef Taco & Salsa Bar. A Boba Popup will occur, serving tea and lemonade boba. At the high school, a Sushi Popup is scheduled for May 12, costing $5.
