Hilda Ruth (Jenewein) Stalder

Hilda Ruth Stalder, 99, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away peacefully in her Zanesville home on April 30, 2026.  She was born on April 27, 1927 in Alladonia, Belmont County, Ohio to the late Jacob Lemuel and Monte Ellen (Milhoan) Jenewein.

Hilda was a hard-working, kind, mother and grandmother.  She retired as a laborer for United Technology/Essex Wire.  She was a devout Christian and a member of the Rolling Plains United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed gardening and watching the birds.  Hilda loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ewers Stalder; son, John “Bruce” Stalder; siblings, Vernon Roosevelt, Lela Mae, Inez Elda, Dennis Merle, Melvin Wayne, Forest Milhoan, Virginia Belle, and Betty Louise. 

Left with happy memories are her granddaughters, Sarah Spence (Travis Manning), Erycka (Jason) Adams; Great-Grandchildren, Jayce (Melissa) Adams, Abby (Matt) Kuhn, Josie Spence and Jaxon Spence; daughter-in-law, Lynn Stalder; plus many great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, close friends and special neighbors.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 11am to the time of service at 1pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio 43719.  Burial will follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery.
