Barnesville Green Blanks Union Local
MORRISTOWN – Barnesville Green Bronco won Thursday evening 17-0 over Union Local to increase their record to 2-0 on the season. It was the team’s second shutout victory.
Right hander Anthony Welch went the distance for the Shamrock’s throwing a no hitter with 10 strikeouts and 2 walks.
The Green logged 20 hits in the game. Brogan Shilling, Hank Jefferis, Gavin Smith and Colby Brown each had 3 hits each.
Jaxson Humphrey, Anthony Welch and Braxton McCloud recorded 2 hits each while Kason Keiger and Isaac Blon each had one hit.
The two teams will meet again Monday, May 4, at Morristown. The first pitch is set for 6 p.m.
