Shamrock Varsity Ups Record to 15-4

Barnesville – 13, River – 1

The Shamrocks came out firing on all cylinders tonight at Memorial Park Monday in a convincing 13-1 win over the visiting River Pilots in 5 innings.

Blake Burkhart started and was excellent on the mound scattering 4 hits over 5 innings of work. He struck out 5 batters walking just one for the mound victory.

The Rox exploded, recording 11 hits. Dylan Blon’s hits brought five runners across the home plate.  Keegan Martin, Gunner Dudzik and Brayden Watters each added two more while Parker Sobutka logged 1 RBI.

Jack Anderson added two hits and Braylon Lucas one for the cause.   

The team returns to the field Wednesday against the Indian Creek Indians at the Muth Recreational Complex in Mingo Junction for the Buckeye 8 title.

On Monday, the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association released its updated weekly rankings. The  Shamrocks moved up one spot to #6 in Division 5 in the State of Ohio.

Barnesville – 11, Wheeling Park – 6

The Shamrock Junior Varsity team defeated Wheeling Park on the Patriot’s Diamond Monday by a score of 11-6. The team’s season record stands at 12-5.
