Valerie K. Baker

Valerie K. Baker, 66, of Barnesville, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her home.

Valerie was born on November 27, 1959, in Barnesville, a daughter of Shirley (Eschbaugh) McCort and the late Wayne Castello.

Valerie enjoyed going to the casino and hanging out at the lake. She was a huge animal lover.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Burroughs, her sister, Sherry Lori, and her brothers, Stevie and Jeff Castello.

Valerie is survived by her daughter, Rachel Gergye of Byesville, her mother, Shirley McCort of Quaker City, her brothers, Mark (Jennifer) McCort of Quaker City and Michael (Leiann) McCort of Pataskala, her grandson, Brexton, and several nieces and nephews.

No services will be held at this time.
