Elda Marie Moore

Elda Marie Moore, age 90, of Lafferty Ohio, passed away on May 13, 2026, at Cumberland Pointe Care Center.

She was born in her beloved Lafferty on September 26, 1935, a daughter of the late Serafino and Emma Datres Calovini.  She was a graduate of Lafferty High School and attended Muskingum College and was a faithful member of St Mary’s Catholic Church and the Lafferty Moose.  Elda had several fulfilling jobs starting from her teenage years throughout her career.  She retired after 25 years from Ohio River Collieries and Bannock Coal Company as an Administrative Assistant, where she enjoyed helping each and every employee.  

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her daughter, Beverly Jean; her son, Billy Ray (Diane); her brother, Bruno Calovini (Emma); and her sister, Bertha Chini, (Edward, Sr).  Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Elda enjoyed playing Bingo, cards and bowling.  She also enjoyed watching NASCAR races, as well as cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Elda will be remembered for her friendship, love, warmth and hospitality for all those she  met and her love of family.  She had a kind and generous spirit.

Friends will be received at Warren Funeral Home, Flushing, Ohio, on Tuesday, May 19th from 12 noon to 2 pm, followed by Mass with Rev.
