Enterprise Album

This is what the Barnesville Depot looked like in 1984, 42 years ago and one year before the rails were removed by CSX Corporation.

In June 1991, 35 years ago, the community delivered the final payment to CSX to purchase the depot, railyard, tunnel and right-of-way through town. The total cost was $125,000.

Soon, contractors will lift the tile roof off of the 110-year-old station to repair and replace the underlayment and copper valleys before returning the good tiles. Damaged tiles will be replaced by salvaged tile from a now demolished school in Washington State.
