Depot Roof Project Update – Draft

Tuesday, with decking/framing work complete and the entire roof of the historic Barnesville Depot wrapped in a layered blue membrane material that includes a center layer of asphalt, workers started relaying the 110-year-old tile roof.

Valleys are now covered in copper
Track side east ready for tile.
On the street side, damaged roof decking was replaced by plywood.
Some of the decking over the restrooms was waster damaged requiring replacement.
The valley over the former baggage room required frame work before the tile was reinstalled.
The valleys on the two dormers also required frame work and new decking.
