Wanted: Belmont County Children’s Home Memories
TACOMA – Local historian, Marie Bundy, is currently conducting research for a program she intends to present on the former Belmont County Children’s Home that was located at Tacoma from 1880-1981. The program will be presented in August at the Watt Center for History and the Arts in Barnesville.
To prepare the program, “I would like to hear from former residents or staff from there and am looking for pictures of the inside of the Home, the farm and the schoolhouse,” Bundy said.
