Friday, May 29, 2026

1:35 am — Belmont Morristown Road, Morristown. Caller reported another truck struck his truck.

1:58 am — I-70, Kirkwood Township. The Ohio State Patrol was in pursuit of a male driving a black SUV. The vehicle was spiked before reaching Belmont (Exit 208). The animal shelter was called to retrieve a puppy from the scene. Deputies assisted OSP with this call.

11:59 am — South Hall Road, Jacobsburg. Deputies arrived to a house to respond to reports from the homeowner that a man who had caused the owner problems in the past was coming to her house.

1:54 pm — East South Street, Barnesville. A deputy arrived at the scene to help a man who had fallen.

3:57 pm — Chapel Hill Road, Smith Township. A deputy was sent to investigate reports of a missing horse. The horse was held in a horse area until the owners could retrieve it.

3:59 pm — Barnesville Hendrysburg Road, Barnesville. Deputies responded to reports of a six-year-old driving a vehicle. No contact was made.

4:12 pm — Belmont Morristown Road, Morristown. Deputies pulled a vehicle over and issued a warning.

4:31 pm — Hendrysburg-Freeport Road, Piedmont. A deputy talked to a caller who wanted it on record that she was not the cause of the road being blocked. The caller provided photos and videos.

6:57 pm — Morristown Street, Flushing. The local police requested a deputy’s assistance to get in contact with a man. Contact was made.

7:24 pm — Harrah Street, Flushing. A deputy assisted with a traffic stop. The deputy gave a man a ride home.

8:16 pm — Bethesda. A deputy responded to reports of juveniles riding dirt bikes on roads. The deputy talked to the parents and also told them to keep their dogs on a leash and out of the neighbor’s yard.

10:45 pm — Flushing. A mother reported that her child had left on foot for a friend’s house. The juvenile was brought back to the home residence.

11:59 pm — Belmont-Morristown Road, Morristown. A caller reported a drunk driver in a truck. No vehicle matching the description was found.

Sunday, May 31, 2026

12:10 am — West Captina Highway, Barnesville. A caller reported her ex broke a car window during a child custody exchange. Information was taken for a report.

1:35 am — I-70 Eastbound, Union Township. A car was pulled over and the driver given a broken tail light warning.

5:00 pm — Reco Road, Belmont. Motion was detected in the lobby of a business. A deputy checked the area and gave the all clear.

Monday, June 1, 2026

3:00 am — Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont. A caller stated that an intoxicated man was fighting with the staff. The man was found walking down the street with a pizza box in hand. He refused medical treatment and was detained. No charges were pressed. The man was taken home.

1:36 pm — Bethesda. A man with a history of mental health issues was exhibiting combative behavior. The man voluntarily went to a hospital.

3:53 pm — Leatherwood Pike, Barnesville. A deputy was dispatched to for an injured deer. The animal was dispatched.

4:05 pm — Pear Street, Bethesda. A deputy was sent for a welfare check. Contact was made and all was okay.

Tuesday, June 2, 2026

9:01 am — South Leatherwood Road, Barnesville. A caller reported that her husband had broken a temporary protection order by messing with her mail. A deputy clarified with the post office that the husband’s mailing address was correctly changed. The deputy advised the caller to call her attorney.

12:05 pm — West Main Street, Morristown. A deputy was sent to check on a hang up call. A woman answered a callback and hung up again. The deputy made contact at the address where a man answered the door and clarified that no woman lived there.

1:05 pm — Barnesville. A deputy assisted at a CPS (Child Protective Services) visit.

1:31 pm — Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont. A deputy helped transport a person to Bridgeport.

3:26 pm — Mount Hope Road, Flushing. A caller reported that they ordered a phone from Xfinity over a month ago. The caller had not received the phone and wanted to file a report for Xfinity.

4:40 pm — Stenger Road, Morristown. A deputy was sent to the scene to investigate reports of a semi truck damaging private property and the property owner striking the truck with a weed trimmer.

10:18 pm — North Main Street, Bethesda. A deputy was sent to deal with a noise complaint about juveniles playing loud music at the pavilion. When the deputy arrived, the park was empty and no music was heard.

Wednesday, June 3, 2026

2:34 am — National Road, Belmont. A deputy responded to reports that someone was trying to flag down vehicles. The deputy found the individual and gave them a ride to Bethesda.

12:12 pm — Cumberland Run Road, Jacobsburg. A deputy executed the court ordered return of a vehicle, a civil matter.

3:47 pm — Main Street, Centerville, Smith Township. A deputy returned a wallet.

4:10 pm — Mellot Road, Smith Township. Deputies responded to a call about contractors trespassing on the caller’s property.

5:50 pm — Townhill Road, Jacobsburg. Caller reported former landlord came onto the property and stole their dog. Information was taken for a report.

7:24 pm — Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont. Two semi trucks collided on private property.
