Jacob Haffner
Jacob Haffner, 82 of Beallsville, Ohio passed away Sunday June 14, 2026 at his home. He was born August 20, 1943 in Ozark, Ohio a son of the late Raymond “Bud” and Loretta Haren Haffner.
Jacob retired from Ormet Corporation in Hannibal, Ohio, and was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Woodsfield. He deeply loved his family, found great satisfaction in farming, and was especially proud of his involvement in showing American Quarter Horses. His passion for horses and dedication to his family were hallmarks of his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law; Donnie Dillon, Marvin Ward, and Ronald Watters, and sister-in-law; Annie Dillon.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Mary Kay Dillon Haffner of Beallsville, son Jeff (Kelle) Haffner of Barlow, Ohio, sister; Caroline Watters, brother; Raymond Haffner, and sister-in-law; Betty Ward, granddaughters; Megan (Carlos) Thompson, Carly Haffner (Andrew Fisher), Jenna, and Tessa Haffner, great grandchildren; Jacob, Evelyn, and Rosemary Thompson, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 2 – 8 p.m. Thursday June 18, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday June 19, 2026 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 330 S. Main Street Woodsfield, Ohio with Fr. David Cornett as celebrant. Burial will follow in Jerusalem Cemetery Jerusalem, Ohio.
