Jim Street

Ronald James “Jim” Street, 72, of Alledonia, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026 in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.  Born June 9, 1953 in Bellaire Ohio, a son of the late Jessie “Shorty” and Elsie Saffell Street, Jim was retired coal miner for the former Ohio Valley Coal Company #6 Mine near Beallsville. He was a graduate of Beallsville High School, Class of 1971 and a member of Sunsbury Lodge #362, F & AM.

Jim had been involved in sports his entire life, first growing up playing youth sports, then as a Beallsville Blue Devil player himself, moving on as an adult playing on various Fast Pitch Softball teams throughout the area, and later as he became a coach and mentor to players of all ages.  But his love of sports grew to another level as he watched his children, Ronnie, Colby, and Charity, from grade school on through high-school and beyond, as they played every sport offered over the years.  However to Jim, his main focus, his real love, was always first and foremost, his family.  His greatest joy came from simply spending time with the loves of his life . . . his wife, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Jessie Street, Jr.; his father-in-law and mother in-law, Harry and Beulah Riley Neff; also a brother-in-law, Terry Neff.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife and best friend, Debbie Neff Street; three children, Ronnie Street (Tammy Wells), Colby (Cindy) Street, and Charity (Michael) Jorris; a sister, Beverly (Jeff) Gallaher; his pride and joys, grandchildren, Isabella Street, Matt Walker, Paityn Street, Trevor (Kalyn) Hill, Gabe (Tonja) Cranmer, Mason (Tayler) Hill, Jadyn Miller, Kennadi Jorris, Keegan Jorris, and Boone Jorris; great-grandchildren, Bella and Eli Hill; several nieces and nephews; also his four-legged friend, “Louie.”

Family and friends will be received Tuesday, June 16 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home – Harper Chapel, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17 at 11am with Wayne Clark officiating.  Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery
