2:48 am – special detail on West Main Street.
3:22 am – open door on West Main Street. The house is being remodeled. Officer reported that no one is present and the door is now secure.
4:09 am – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.
8:58 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.
10:01 am – special detail on Woodland Avenue.
10:19 am – officer on Pine Lane was flagged down by a group of juveniles with a complaint.
10:40 am – traffic stop on East Main Street. Warning issued for plates.
11:03 am – vehicle lockout on East Main Street.
11:13 am – traffic stop on East Main Street near The Pit Stop. Citation issued.
12:03 pm – special detail on Lower Sandy Ridge Road, Wayne Township.
12:20 pm – investigating a complaint on East Main Street. Male was in the parking lot.
12:46 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street. Citation issued for expired plates.
2:07 pm – investigating complaint on South Lincoln Avenue. The person left on foot.
4:18 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street.
4:45 pm – officer on the corner of Church Street and Broadway Street talking with a person.
6:22 pm – assisting another unit on Reservoir Road and State Route 40. Request for the K9 unit.
7:25 pm – person on station updating the notice of an abatement notice letter. There is a plumber working on the issue.
9:34 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street.
9:38 pm – 911 requested an available officer to respond to a Pigeon Point Road residence that was broken into. Owner said she saw someone upstairs in the home when she pulled into her driveway. Officers searched the home and found no one.
10:07 pm – traffic stop on Church Street.
10:41 pm – traffic stop on Mt. Olivett Road. Consent to search granted. Negative results on search. Warning issued for cracked windshield and expired plates.
11:03 pm – traffic stop on West Main Street.

12:04 am – female caller states that her husband is drinking alcohol with two other men in their home. She is at work and can see them on the camera. She wants her husband to go to sleep so that he can get up for work in the morning.
12:08 am – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street. Warning issued for left of center.
1:24 am – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street. Person enroute to pick up the male.
3:53 am – officer at the Barnesville Hospital for a walk through.
7:58 am – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.
11:56 am – report of a male walking along the road on Chestnut Ridge Road in Warren Township. Male could be the male from the break-in on Pigeon Point Road last night. Officer reported negative contact with the male.
12:51 pm – vehicle lockout on Shamrock Drive. Disregard, they got it unlocked on their own.
1:45 pm – caller reports a possible homeless man living in his car in the parking lot.
3:14 pm – vehicle lockout on Shamrock Drive.
3:26 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.
4:44 pm – male caller from North Street reports he had money stolen from his apartment by an individual who was helping him move. Man requested to speak with an officer.
4:57 pm – male caller from previous log said he didn’t steal any money.
7:20 pm – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street. Warning issued for obstructed plate.
8>50 pm – vehicle lockout on East Walnut Street.
10:12 pm – male caller from Laws Street reports his vehicle was struck by another vehicle. There are no injuries.
10:21 pm – possible domestic on Hunts Avenue. This was a verbal argument. Female will get a ride to another residence.
Wednesday, June 17, 2026
12:35 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.
1:08 am – alarm drop on Bond Avenue. Front door alarm. Officer reported negative contact and all is secure.
7:24 am – parking complaint on Fair Street.
9:15 am – a homeless man called asking about resources. The dispatcher called Belmont County Cares. They are enroute to help out with the situation.
10:06 am – caller from Bethesda Street reports a child in a diaper in his back yard. Officer is trying to get her back to her house. The child is back with her mother now.
12:28 pm – report of a person driving a vehicle with expired plates and no license. Person carries a glock and is always loaded. The person lives outside the corporation in Warren Township.
2:30 pm – traffic stop on the entrance of Route 147.
8:26 pm – female caller states an elderly man stopped to ask for directions. She was concerned because the store closes at 5 pm.
7:11 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.
8:44 pm – report of three juveniles riding E-Bikes near the depot. Officer spoke with the juveniles and they will no longer ride in the area.
Thursday, June 18, 2026
7:15 am – officer on Washington Street assisting the EMS squad.
7:16 am – vehicle lockout on West Main Street.
12:33 pm – two vehicles accident on East Main Street. No injuries reported.
2:45 pm – traffic stop on South Lincoln Avenue.
3:25 pm – traffic stop on East South Street near Chestnut Lanes.
5:41 pm – disabled vehicle on State Route 147 near McMillan Road and Oak Lane.
7:53 pm – caller reports a resident of the facility has decided to withdraw from care.
8:22 pm – male caller states that his neighbor on Morgantown Avenue has kept dogs in the house for three straight days. Caller attempted to contact the neighbor and received no answer at the door. He also states that the neighbor has a barn behind the house full of garbage. There is a smell coming from the barn. Officer had negative contact with the owner.
9:01 pm – traffic stop on State Route 147 East.
11:15 pm – report of domestic disturbance on North Broadway Street.

12:21 pm – welfare check on North Broadway Street. Officer reported that the person is fine.
Saturday, June 20, 2026
2:25 am – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.
8:12 am – female on station to file a harassment complaint over social media. Officer advised her that this is a civil matter.
8:52 am – report that there have been threats of a possible swatting incident towards a Barnesville resident.
10:35 am – officer was flagged down on Railroad Street regarding a rottweiler chasing a motorcycle. Officer made contact with the dog’s owner.
10:51 am – officer on Railroad Street looking for the owner of a loose rottweiler dog. Officer reported that the dog in back at the owner’s home.
12:23 pm – caller states that he has permission to cut branches from a tree near his property. The tree belongs to a neighbor who has given permission to cut the branches. While the caller cut the tree, a woman took pictures of him.
12:52 pm – female on station turning in two boxes of hair dye found behind the North Arch Street Apartments.
7:45 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Warning issued for speed.
8:33 pm – traffic stop of a tan Buick because the plate is not visible.
9:03 pm – traffic stop on East South Street.
9:19 pm – caller from Lafferty states someone broke into his house causing damage. Dispatcher directed him to contact the Belmont County Sheriff’s Department.
10:10 pm – traffic stop on South Lincoln Avenue for no visible plate. Consent to search was granted. Citation issued for expired tags. Officer reported nothing was found in the search.
10:51 pm – caller states she was holding her friend’s kitten in the car and the kitten got away from them and is somewhere within in the car but cannot be located. Dispatcher suggested contacting a mechanic.
10:54 pm – traffic stop on Morgantown Avenue.
11:13 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street. Citation issued for expired tags.

12:30 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street.
1:07 am – traffic stop on North Broadway Street.
3:34 am – alarm drop on East Main Street. Officer reported all entrances and exits are secure.
4:33 am – traffic stop on North Arch Street.
5:47 am – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.
8:02 am – walk through on West Main Street.
9:58 am – dispatcher received call regarding a Black GMC Sierra. Driver, who is leaving St. Clairsville, is reported to be intoxicated.
10:32 am – female caller reports a baby deer is stuck in a fence at the end of Morgantown Avenue. Deer was removed.
8:28 pm – caller requested a call back from an officer regarding a person who isn’t supposed to have communication with her.
9:43 pm – caller, who wants to retrieve items from a house, requests an escort. Dispatcher said the person needs court orders to provide an escort.
10:55 pm – dog is reported to be barking nonstop for four hours on Pine Lane. Officer made contact with the owner who will take the dog inside the house.
