Monday, July 13, 2026
6:04 am – traffic stop on North Gardner Street. Warning issued for traffic control.
9:34 am – report of a silver Subaru parked halfway into the alley near Bond Avenue.
11:15 am – traffic stop on State Route 147 East.
11:16 am – female on station requesting to speak with an officer.
11:54 am – vehicle accident in the parking lot across from the Elementary School. No injuries were reported.
12:11 pm – person called to report of a vehicle accident on East Main Street. Caller said they backed into another vehicle. No injuries were reported.
12:35 pm – caller reporting as a courtesy call a resident leaving the residence facility on foot.
3:45 pm – caller believes neighbors has cameras pointed into the window at his house.
7:11 pm – stray dog turned into the station. Dog Warden has been contacted.
7:33 pm – vehicle lockout at the park.
8:57 pm – officer reporting that the code lock box at the Elementary School is making a squeaking sound.
9:01 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Citation issued for speed.
9:20 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street. Consent to search granted. Officer reported nothing was found on the search. Citation issued for failure to reinstate.
11:50 pm – traffic stop on Vine Street.
Tuesday, July 14, 2026
1:00 am – traffic stop on Leatherwood Road.
2:06 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.
2:45 am – traffic stop on West Main Street. Citation issued for expired tags.
4:59 am – traffic stop on West Church Street.
8:03 am – caller wants to talk to an officer regarding a domestic situation.
9:47 am – traffic stop on East Main Street. Warning issued for expired plates.
10:00 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street.
12:03 pm – caller states he has been dealing with the Guernsey County Police Department. They have arrested him and he wants an attorney. Dispatcher advised that we don’t have attorneys at the police department.
12:34 pm – caller asking who to call about a dead racoon in the road on Franklin Street. Dispatcher told the caller to call the street department or the village administrator.
3:28 pm – female caller reporting that she gave out her policy information to someone wanting to review her policy. She later thought it was not good to give out her information to the caller.
8:04 pm – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.
8:24 pm – vehicle lockout on South Chestnut Street.
8:42 pm – domestic trouble, verbal only, on South Lincoln Avenue.
9:06 pm – caller reports the dogs are out of the house and the front door is open at a Morgantown Avenue address. Officer got the dogs back inside and will attempt to contact the homeowner.
10:06 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.
10:23 pm – traffic stop on Mackey Drive. Consent to search granted. Officer reported negative on search. Warning issued for turn signal.
11:01 pm – traffic stop on Gobblers Knob.
Wednesday, July 15, 2026
1:06 am – traffic stop on Franklin Street. Warning issued for expired tag, turn signal and headlight.
2:46 am – investigate complaint on West Main Street.
8:11 am – traffic stop on Leatherwood Road.
9:09 am – assisting EMS squad on North Street.
12:12 pm – report of a truck parked partially in the roadway.
3:59 pm – two cars pulled off Leatherwood Road. Warning issued for both drivers for speed.
5:47 pm – traffic stop on Law Street.
8:03 pm – caller from Hunts Avenue wanting to make a complaint about the neighbor’s property.
Thursday, July 16, 2026
10:52 am – traffic stop on East Church Street near the bowling alley.
11:03 am – caller asked if an officer could speak to a few juveniles. The juveniles did some damages last night.
12:23 pm – officer assisting the EMS squad on Mackey Drive.
12:44 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.
2:43 pm – mail carrier called in for a welfare check on North Street. The mail carrier reported that the resident hasn’t picked up mail in a couple of weeks. Officer spoke with the person and all is well.
3:50 pm – traffic stop on South Gardner Street.
4:35 pm – female caller would like a welfare check on a parent and child. Officer reported that both are fine.
7:13 pm – female on station reporting a package was stolen from her porch.
7:31 pm – traffic stop on State Route 800 North.
7:46 pm – female from previous entry at 7:13 p.m. reported that she found the package on the ground beside the porch.
8:09 pm – female caller wants the police to take a baby away from a person. Dispatcher advised that is not legal. She got angry and argumentative.
8:48 pm – traffic stop on Waterworks Road.
10:18 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street. Warning issued for taillights.
10:33 pm – female caller reporting she was behind a blue truck on Sandy Ridge Road. The truck almost drove off the road twice.
Friday, July 17, 2026
6:18 am – two vehicle accident on West Main Street. No injuries reported.
1:39 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Warning issued for speed.
4:54 pm – caller from Pine Lane reports a man with the paving company trying to enter her home through the back door.
8:44 pm – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.
8:56 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.
9:51 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.
10:05 pm – traffic stop on East Church Street. Citation issued for expired tags.
11:09 pm – traffic stop on Gobblers Knob.
Saturday, July 18, 2026
4:47 am – report of an open door on Morgantown Avenue. Officer contacted the occupant who states that the cat is able to get the door open.
8:17 am – traffic stop on Bond Avenue. Warning issued for no trailer lights.
9:04 am – person on station talking to officers.
10:27 am – person on station talking to officers.
8:25 pm – 911 radioed and advised that a vehicle left Bethesda. Belmont County Sheriff’s Department wants the police to be aware since the person was in an altercation with another person.
9:02 pm – officer on Leatherwood Road for a male with a medical situation.
10:01 pm – traffic stop on State Route 147 near Tacoma. Female was good to drive as she passed a field test.
11:09 pm – caller spoke to individuals that are outside who were hollering and carrying on. Officer advised them to keep it down.
Sunday, July 19, 2026
12:12 am – small beagle mix dog was hit on East Main Street. It ran off towards the woods. Officer reported negative contact with the dog.
12:15 am – traffic stop on West Church Street.
3:21 am – traffic stop on Bond Avenue. Warning issued for following too close.
4:40 am – traffic stop on State Route 800 North.
9:33 am – male caller states he feels police officers are following him. He wants to know if he has an open warrant.
2:01 pm – male caller requesting to speak with an officer about his stepdaughter.
6:24 pm – caller reporting a sick looking racoon on the property. Dispatcher gave the phone number for the Game Warden.
6:29 pm – Barnesville Hospital called reporting a female with a baby being in the lobby for several hours. She states that she is waiting for a ride. The hospital is requesting that an officer to come to the hospital and speak with her.
6:38 pm – received three calls from Shamrock Drive regarding a sick raccoon by the Grange Hall. Officer reported of having no contact with the raccoon.
8:58 pm – caller states he lives on West South Street and the mother lives in St. Clairsville. He reports there is a custody issue with the mother. She is at the St. Clairsville Police Department stating that he kidnapped their sons.
9:02 pm – caller reporting someone is burning brush inside the corporation limit creating smoke in the area of South Lincoln Avenue. Officer found the source and advised the parties to extinguish the fire and advised they cannot burn brush in the village.
