Darla D. Hopton

Darla D. Hopton, 67, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at her home. She was born on January 25, 1959, in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Arthur D. and Pauline (Swallie) Milhoan.

Darla was a 1977 graduate of Barnesville High School. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and found great joy in creating crafts. A devoted fan, she proudly cheered on the Barnesville Shamrocks and the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, Darla cherished her family and treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Tina Milhoan.

Darla is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ray D. Hopton whom she married on December 30, 1988; children, Hailey (Casey) Van Fossen of Barnesville and Skyler Hopton of Barnesville; three grandchildren, Walker, Ryker, and Waylon Van Fossen; brothers, Roger Milhoan of Fairview and Charles Milhoan of North Carolina; twin sister, Donna (David) Hunter of Barnesville; and several nieces & nephews.

Honoring Darla’s wishes there will be no services held. Care is entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
