Lloyd Gallaher

Lloyd Gallaher, 91, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026 in Emerald Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center, Barnesville, Ohio. He was born October 28, 1934 at his family’s home near Beallsville, a son of the late Herman and Kathleen Blouir Gallaher. Lloyd attended Mt. Zion Church of Christ and he was a retired employee of the former ORMET Rolling Mill, near Hannibal, Ohio. His love of working on the family farm as a young boy and then on his own farm as an adult remained a constant joy throughout Lloyd’s entire life.

In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Gallaher on March 9, 2026 and a brother, Raymond Gallaher.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 73 years, Betty Jean Mellott Gallaher; a son, Douglas (Pam) Gallaher; a daughter-in-law, Loretta Gallaher; grand-daughters, Shanna (Greg) Coss and Amanda (Jeremy) Kinney; great-grandchildren, Kaylee (Brett) Arnold, Abigail Kinney, Iris Kinney, Remi Coss, Lizzie Coss, and Emerald Kinney; also a great-great granddaughter, Alia Arnold.

Visitation will be held at the Wilson Funereal Home, Harper Chapel, Beallsville, Monday, August 3, 2026 from 4pm to 8pm where funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 4,2026 at 11am with Minister Sam Bartrug offering words of comfort. Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
