Curtis Patrick Dorton

Curtis Patrick Dorton 85, of Salesville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at The Enclave in Barnesville Ohio.

He was proceeded in death by wives Linda (Standifer) Dorton 1993, Rosemary (McDonald) Dorton (2010), Diana (Yonts) Dorton (2014) and sons Curtis Patrick Dorton Jr. & Christopher Jon Dorton.

He was born November 17, 1940 in Jenkins, Ky., son of the late Cossie Curtis and Helen (Rickets) Dorton. Brother to the late, Louis, Dean (Barbara), and Johnny (Peggy) Dorton.

Curtis worked at J&L/LTV steel in Cleveland Ohio for over 40 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, Mason, & enjoyed traveling with his late wife Diana.

He is survived by his son Scott (Eileen) of Alamogordo NM, 3 grandchildren, Eric of Fort Worth, TX, David (Hannah) of Zwolle, LA, Rachael of Twin Falls, ID. 2 great grandchildren, Easton & Kosten of Zwolle, LA, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a family & friends viewing at the Thorn Black Funeral Home in Quaker City Ohio on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 10am with burial to follow at Friends Cemetery.
