Robert E. “Catfish” Snyder

Robert E. “Catfish” Snyder, 84, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2026 at his home. He was born on November 2, 1941 in Toronto, Ohio to the late Elmer and Gladys (Allen) Snyder.

Bob was a steel mill worker and drove truck for Weirton Steel until his retirement. He was a member of the Toronto VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. His pride and joy was his great-grandchildren, he loved every moment he was able to spend with them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, June Renea and JoAnn Clark.

Bob is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean Snyder; children, Ronald Snyder, Randall (Diana) Snyder, Richard (Stacey) Snyder, Pamela (Cort) Turner, Todd Snyder, Chad (Kimberly) Snyder; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Honoring Bob’s wishes, cremation will take place with no additional services to be held. His care has been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
