Southside Construction Project Underway
A culvert and waterline replacement project, approved by Barnesville Village Council, was well underway mid-day Monday with the intersection off South Broadway and West South streets closed to traffic.
The work will take place on Broadway between West South Street and Hunts Avenue.
During construction, according to an official village post, traffic on the street will be restricted to “local traffic” only. Parking along the street is not permitted during the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The project and its costs were discussed at length at the August 10 village council meeting.
