Barnesville Paving Project
The annual summer paving project for the Village of Barnesville is set to begin next Tuesday, weather permitting, an iffy proposition during this exceedingly wet month of August. A total of eight streets were selected for surfacing. They are
- South Arch Street (E. Main to E. South)
- North Chestnut Street (Bond Ave. to Harry Dew Rd.)
- South Gardner (W. South to Leatherwood)
- Kirk Avenue
- Robinson Avenue
- West South Street (S. Chestnut to Broadway; west end to W. Main)
- Roosevelt Road
As far as the amount of time needed to complete the project, “the contractor has to do partial and full depth repairs as well as milling and paving probably looking at at least two weeks if the weather stays good,” Roger Deal, village administrator said.
