Kevin J. Gray

Kevin Jo Gray of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the age of 64, at home with his family by his side. He was born on December 10, 1961, in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Kevin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from The Ohio State University, which led him to a dedicated career as a Police Officer with The Ohio State University Police Department. Kevin was passionate about his work and served as a representative for the Fraternal Order of Police for many years. His commitment to justice and safety extended beyond his work, as he was also a representative for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) for OSU Police.

Kevin was a man of many interests. He found peace hiking with his dog, enjoyment in fishing, and joy in tending to his garden.

He is survived by his father, Glenn Robert Gray; his wife, Carol Gray; his brother, Kelly (Tammy) Gray; his sister, Julie (Bernard) Carpenter; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Kay Gray, and his son, Tyler Joseph Gray.

Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Kevin and his family during this difficult time. A service to celebrate Kevin’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor a life that was truly well-lived.
