Debbie Lucas, RN Retires After 49 Years of Service to Barnesville Hospital

BARNESVILLE – After an incredible 49 years of dedicated service, Debbie Lucas is retiring from WVU Medicine Barnesville Hospital, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of commitment, compassion and lasting relationships.
Debbie began her career at Barnesville Hospital 49 years ago and spent 47 of those years working in the Operating Room. She also dedicated two years to serving patients on the inpatient floor.
Throughout her nearly five decades at the hospital, Debbie has been a familiar and valued presence to countless patients, families and coworkers. Her longevity and dedication are a testament to the meaningful connections she has built throughout her career.

Reflecting on her time at Barnesville Hospital, Debbie said, “I really enjoyed my years here. I’ve enjoyed the family atmosphere and developing relationships with my coworkers.”
Barnesville Hospital thanks Debbie for her 49 years of service and the many contributions she has made throughout her career.
Her dedication to her coworkers and the patients she served will be remembered, and she will be greatly missed by the Barnesville Hospital family.
