Boil Order in Parts of Barnesville
A large water leak in the Village of Barnesville, this time along North Broadway Street, was discovered Thursday resulting in a boil order. The official announcement follows:
The Barnesville Water Department has issued a precautionary boil advisory due to emergency waterline repairs for all service connections on North Broadway Street, Laws Street, Walton Avenue, Sleepy Hollow Drive, Park Street, and any other experiencing a loss in pressure.
This boil advisory will remain in effect for 48 hours once water service is restored. Water should be vigorously boiled for at least one minute prior to human consumption or dental hygiene use. Residents may also notice discoloration and should be cautious with laundry.
