Friday Night Football: Week 3
Teams from neighboring high schools recorded one win and three losses during Week 3 of the 2026 high school football season.
Union Local – 48, Warren Local – 7
The Jets continued their winning ways with a commanding win over Warren Local, 48-7. Warren Local came into the game with one win and one loss.
Next week the undefeated Jets will play the neighboring Harrison Local Huskies who are 1-2 on the season. The Huskies suffered a bruising loss to undefeated Strasburg-Franklin Friday night, 54-7.
Newark Catholic – 31, Buckeye Trail – 0
Buckeye Trail’s Warriors came up short the third week in a row failing to score against the undefeated Green Wave.
Next week the neighboring Shenandoah Zeps will invade Old Washington.
Waterford – 35, Shenandoah – 0
Shenandoah and Waterford both entered the contest in Morgan County with matching 2-0 records.
The Zeps lost their first game of the season, failing to score against the Wildcats, 35-0.
Next week, Shenandoah travels north to take on the currently winless Buckeye Trail
Edison – 14, Monroe Central – 13
The 1-1 Wildcats took on the undefeated Seminoles Thursday night coming out on top in a close, 14-13 contest.
Next week, the Seminoles host the 1-2 Caldwell Redskins who played Tuslaw Massillon Friday night, losing a lopsided contest 49-14.
