Barnesville Launches Property Maintenance Portal

A new change on the Village of Barnesville website is a portal for “Report a Concern” related to property maintenance in the village.

At the end of August 2026, the Village began a new process designated to centralize property maintenance complaints and property abatements through the Barnesville Police Department.

On the dedicated Property Maintenance & Code Enforcement page, citizens may report potential concerns including “overgrown grass or weeds, trash or debris, deteriorated buildings, inoperable vehicles, unsafe conditions, nuisances, and other potential property maintenance violations”, as outlined in the town’s newsletter.

Centralizing complaints within the police department “is intended to streamline the process, improve communications and provide better follow-up on property maintenance concerns and abatements,” the report notes.

Residents may submit concerns through the village online reporting form found HERE or contact the Barnesville Police Department at 740-425-1976 to report a concern by phone or ask questions.
