Friday, September 4, 2026
2:15 am – Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont (Love’s Travel Center). Caller believes someone removed lug nuts from her vehicle due to a history with “him”. Deputies checked security camera footage but the parked trailer was outside the view.
10:36 am – Morristown Street, Flushing. Caller believes she knows where a male who scammed the cashier with a fraudulent credit card previously is.
6:46 pm –Somerset Twp., Barnesville. Welfare check. All is well.
7:05 pm – Belmont. Dispatch sent deputies to an address in Union Township where a brother-in-law was causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, relative reported the man was suffering a mental episode and just wanted him to leave the caller alone for the night. EMS took the man to Barnesville Hospital for further treatment.
7:47 pm – Jacobsburg (Washington Twp.). Deputies dispatched to address where a caller was receiving threatening messages from a former friend who was disparaging the caller’s deceased grandfather. Fearful the former friend would show up, deputies advised the person of her rights and how to obtain a Temporary Protective Order.
8:42 pm – Belmont Ridge Road, Alledonia. Deputies responded to a Wayne Twp. residence for a reported assault at a business. Deputies could not obtain a statement from one of the parties who said she was drunk. Complainant was advised to go to the sheriff’s office the following day.
10:59 pm – Reco Road, Belmont (Love’s Travel Center) Man and two women possibly in a white van are asking people for gas but caller is unsure if they spoke English. Vehicle had departed prior to the deputies’ arrival.
Saturday, September 5, 2026
12:34 am – Somerset Twp. (Barnesville). Deputies dispatched for domestic trouble. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with man who said his wife had taken the car and he wanted it reported stolen. Upon talking with the female half, she reported the husband had taken her phone and threw it in the woods and she would not leave until the phone was located. Barnesville Police report this is an ongoing issue between the two and that the car is marital property and a civil issue. Parties separated for the evening and advised of their rights.
11:15 am – New Castle Road, Jerusalem. Report of fraud. Information taken for report.
2:45 pm – Belmont Ridge, Beallsville (Wayne Twp.) Person on station to fill out a statement from an incident that occurred the night before – see Sept. 4 report above.
5:39 pm – I-70, MP 202, Barnesville. Rollover accident on Interstate. Ohio Patrol on scene.
6:24 pm – Flushing. Deputies dispatched for a report of domestic trouble. Man reports he and his son were riding dirtbikes when the son became agitated and started hitting father in the face. Man put son in bearhug but others pulled him off the son. Man advised he wanted to file charges but was unable to provide a statement because he had been drinking alcohol. Man advised to visit office the following day once he was sober.
Sunday, September 6, 2026
12:44 am – National Road, Belmont. Deputies dispatched to address where a 911 hang up call originated. On the way, another call came in with a female caller heard asking “Are you going to get here already?” before disconnecting again. Upon arrival, deputies discovered it was a verbal argument and that the husband had left, and caller did not wish to pursue anything. She was advised if he returned to call 911 again.
10:52 am – Morristown. Caller advises car is blocking traffic in front of a residence. Deputies spoke with owner who said the car broke down and the owner will tow it further off the road. On a second pass through, deputies determined the car was moved.
4:03 pm – Barnesville. Alarm drop. Deputies responded and spoke with the homeowner who mistakenly set it off. False alarm.
Monday, September 7, 2026
3:56 am – Belmont. Caller reports someone keeps banging on his door. Deputy searched the area with negative contact.
9:52 am – Barnesville (Somerset Twp.) Caller reported a female slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle. Deputy reports woman is fine, just tired.
Tuesday, September 8, 2026
12:43 am – Reco Road, Belmont (Love’s Travel Center). Caller reports four people smoking marijuana inside a car at the gas pumps. Vehicle departed prior to deputy’s arrival.
1:17 pm – Barnesville (Somerset Twp.) Caller requested a welfare check on his parents. Caller could hear them arguing over the phone. Call dropped and reconnection has failed. Deputies responded.
7:28 pm – Flushing. Parties are “working it out among themselves”, the report states.
8:21 pm. – Bethesda. Caller reports someone unknown was knocking on her door. She is inside with a young son. Caller called back and gave information about who was possibly at the residence showing posts on social media. Information taken for a report.
Wednesday, September 9, 2026
9:35 am – National Road, Belmont. Welfare check on male juvenile.
10:25 am – Belmont. Deputies out checking on children. Mother reported children have doctor appointments. She was advised to call the school.
12:39 pm – Old SR 147, Bethesda. Theft of hunting items reported. Deputies on scene. Information taken for report.
3:35 pm – Belmont Ridge Road, Alledonia. Contact made in person with complainant.
4:22 pm – Bethesda. A juvenile male called dispatch about his uncle who hit him because caller did not want a haircut. Negative contact with business. Information to contact uncle gathered.
5:31 pm – Barnesville. Deputies out in Warren Twp. for an investigation or follow up.
