Friday Night Football: Week 4

Teams from neighboring high schools recorded three wins and one loss during Week 4 of the 2026 high school football season.

In all the games this week, the contests were between neighboring schools:  Monroe Central – Caldwell, Buckeye Trail – Shenandoah and Union Local – Harrison Central     

Union Local – 49,  Harrison Central – 7

The Jets continue to roll continuing a stellar undefeated season in week 4 in a home field contest against the invading Harrison Central Huskies who are now 1-3 on the season.

Next week, the Jets travel across the county to take on the undefeated Martins Ferry Purple Riders.

Shenandoah – 30, Buckeye Trail – 6

The Zeps logged their third win of the season easily besting neighboring Buckeye Trail. The Warriors, who have yet to win this season, scored one touchdown, their second one of the season.

Next week, Shenandoah hosts the 1-3 Trimble Wildcats while Buckeye Trail travels to West Lafayette to take on the Ridgewood 3-1 Generals

Monroe Central – 40, Caldwell – 0

The Seminoles blanked the neighboring Redskins 40-0 at Woodsfield Friday night. It was Monroe Central’s third win out of four starts and Caldwell’s third loss of the season.

Next week, the Monroe Countians travel north to take on an undefeated Barnesville at Shamrock Stadium continuing a tradition that dates back over a century.

Three future opponents for the ‘Rocks will go into week 5 with unblemished records – Martins Ferry, Fort Frye and Union Local.
