Donated Mums Beautify Veterans Plaza
For years, Mike and Lori Burkhart of Burkhart Nursery have provided summer flowers for the two large planters at the Barnesville Veterans Plaza located at the corner of E. Main and N. Arch streets.
This fall, just in time for the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival, the Burkharts replaced the summer flowers with a beautiful array of mums providing color for the local memorial.
At the September 21 Barnesville village council meeting, Administrator Roger Deal, shared the good news with council members and the public.
“I appreciate Mike and Lori and Burkhart Nursery for always keeping these filled as well as the planter at the youth center. They’ve done this for years, ” Deal said. “This is a nice surprise that they’ve also added the fall decorations.”
