Watt Trail Input Gathered During Festival
As racers prepared for the annual Barnesville Pumpkin Festival 5K Race and Walk, Design Local LTD representatives were on hand early Saturday morning at the Watt Center gathering public and community input on a proposed trail from the Barnesville Depot through the Watt Property and on to Barnesville Memorial Park.
Mayor Jake Hersberger secured the complimentary services of the Columbus-based firm through the Mayors Association of Ohio.
Design Local’s Matt Leasure and Joe Johnson gathered comments before the race, transitioning to the downtown festival area on E. Main Street after the race for the remainder of day.
The project timeline proposes release of a final report in April 2027.
