Barnesville’s Homecoming Queen Candidates
Back Row (L-R): Izzy Reed, Ella Betts, Kinlee Welch, Londyn Gibson, Mariah Schaffer and Sophie Carpenter.
Front Row (L-R): Avery Sustik, Brooklyn Miller, Caydence Stephen and Kennedy Little.
Barnesville’s Homecoming is next week. The queen candidates and their escorts have been busy creating and practicing skits for the traditional assembly on Thursday, October 15. This year’s theme is Now Showing…Homecoming.
Thursday evening, the candidates, escorts, cheerleaders and the band will parade to the stadium, where there will be a bonfire to build school spirit and get everyone pumped up for the game.
The Barnesville Shamrocks will face the Wheeling Central Knights at the Shamrock Stadium with the queen candidates riding in cars across the field before the game, which starts at 7 o’clock. The queen will be determined by the luck of choosing a rose at halftime. The candidate opening the white rose is queen, and the runner-up is the green rose recipient.
