Union Local –54 , Buckeye Local – 7

The hometown crowd was treated to a Homecoming blowout against the winless Buckeye Local Panthers.

A late evening post on the Union Local Touchdown Club Facebook page revealed a historic milestone achieved at this game:

“Tonight was not only UL History but OVAC history! Brody Perzanowski passed Weir High legend Quincy Wilson as the all time leading rusher in OVAC history!! 6,165 yards and still counting!”

Union Local, 7-1, faces Bellaire next week before hosting longtime rival Barnesville the final game of the season.

Monroe Central – 39, Toronto – 0  

The Seminoles stunned the previously unbeaten Red Knights with a 39-0 beatdown at Monroe Memorial Park in Woodsfield Friday night.

The 5-3 Monroe Countians will take on Cameron, WV, next week before wrapping up the season against Shadyside.

Malvern –30, Buckeye Trail – 0

A difficult season for the Warriors continues as the Hornets, now 3-5, denied the winless Buckeye Trail a single score.

The two remaining games for the Warriors are Tuscarawas Central Catholic and Newcomerstown.  

River –62 , Shenandoah – 36

The unbeaten Pilots came away with their 8th win in a high scoring contest along the banks of the Ohio River at Hannibal.

The next game for the Zeps, now 4-3, will be against Frontier with the season closer against the neighboring Caldwell Redskins on October 23.
