Shamrock Volleyball Celebrated Five Seniors

Last Monday, the Barnesville Shamrock volleyball team hosted its last home match against the Shenandoah Zeps. The team honored five varsity players during senior night festivities. The high school lobby featured a display table filled with photos of the seniors as well as their “crowned” jerseys because they are queens of the court.

The JV team won its match 2-1 with scores of 21-25, 25-9 and 26-24. Unfortunately, the Zeps Varsity team swept the Shamrocks with scores of 23-25, 19-25 and 20-25.

Then on Wednesday, the Lady Rocks traveled to Wheeling Central Catholic to play their last match of the regular season. As part of the Lady Maroon Knights’ senior night, the WCC volleyball program presented Barnesville’s seniors with flowers.

Both Barnesville teams fell to the Wheeling Central Catholic teams. The JV lost in two sets with scores of 21-25 and 11-25. The Varsity was defeated in a 4-set match with scores of 25-23, 23-25, 18-25 and 15-25.
