Shamrock JH Cross Country Finishes Season at Championship

The Barnesville junior high cross country teams competed at the East/Southeast Middle School Championship on October 20 at the Broughton Nature and Wildlife Area near Marietta. Unfortunately, due to the chamber band and choir concert the same night, the teams were shorthanded.

The girls did not have enough runners to score as a team. The JH boys’ team finished in third place, which was the middle of the pack.

Barnesville runners who finished in the Top Ten included 7th-grader Maya Stephen (14:11.32) in eighth, 8th-grader Dawson Hanse (11:52.20) in second and 8th-grader Quinn Stephen (12:00.10) in fourth.
