Vote for Barnesville Finalist for National Honor

BARNESVILLE – A member of our local community, Becky Wehr, is a finalist for the 2025 SilverSneakers® Member of the Year Award, a national honor celebrating seniors who exemplify healthy, active living.

At age 75, Becky embodies the spirit of her community and sets an extraordinary example to seniors nationwide. This national recognition highlights her inspiring dedication to health, wellness and active living. Becky’s resilience and positive attitude keep her moving at Ferrum Fit, located at 130 E. South Street, and leading the Barnesville Kiwanis Club, The Belmont County Museum and The Barnesville Area News.  For Becky, exercise is not a chore but a celebration of perseverance.

Winners of the SilverSneakers Member of the Year awards will now be determined by popular vote. From August 1 – 11, anyone can vote daily for Becky at SILVERSNEAKERS.COM/MOYAWARDS. To help her win this award, we are reaching out to the community asking for your support. Please share Becky’s story and encourage others to vote daily for her through August 11.

“Every vote counts, and with your help, we can rally your community to support Becky in bringing this national honor to Barnesville,” said Lily Grace Thome of Finn Partners, the public relations firm promoting the contest for SilverSneakers.
