The Barnesville Chamber of thanks volunteers of KindnessU: Lillian’s Leaders Of Tomorrow Club for helping decorate the downtown this past Monday on their day off from school.

This award will be determined by a poll on the village’s Facebook page from December 13-24. Winner will be announced on Christmas Day.
Batesville Tree Lighting – December 8
Citizens of the village of Batesville will host an inaugural “Tree Lighting Event” on Sunday, December 8 at 4:00. Afterwards, participants will enjoy cookies and hot chocolate. Organizers ask participants to bring an ornament and share it with the community by placing it on the tree.
Village of Fairview Tree Lighting – December 8
The Third Annual Village of Fairview Christmas Tree Lighting will take place on Sunday, December 8 at 6:00 at the Village Hall, 290 Fair Avenue. The event will feature hot cocoa, cookies and kids crafts.
Beallsville Schools Christmas Concert/Family Fun Night – December 11
The Beallsville Schools Music Program will present a Christmas Concert, Wednesday, December 11 at 6:00. Performances will be offeed by the 3-5 grade music classes, 5th grade band, and the Beallsville High School Band. The concert will take place a the school campus. It will be followed by a “Family Fun Night”.
Grinch Family Night – December 12
The Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library will host a family story time for all ages at the Library Annex, 616 N. Chestut Street at 6:30 Thursday, December 12. The “Grinch” will be there for an evenig of stories, crafts and a snack.

Belmont Career Center “Cocoa with Santa” – December 12
The Belmont Career Center will host a Cocoa with Santa event on Thursday. December 12 from 5:00-7:00. The event benefits the Staying Clean Club. An entry fee is $5 per child. The entry fee includes a photo with Santa, hot cocoa, games and activities.
Union Local Band Christmas Festival – December 13
Join the Union Local Band for a Christmas Festival, Friday, December 13 from 5:30-8:30 at the Wise Budiling, Belmont County Fairgrounds. In addition to a $1 entry fee, $5 purchases 25 tokens. Each game requires one token.
The event will include a visit from Santa, scavenger hunt, hot cocoa bar, game booths, polar exporess sleigh ride, concessions, The Grinch, chinese auction and more.
Bethesda “Hometown Christmas” – December 13
The 7th Annual Bethesda “Hometown Christmas” will take place at the Community Room, Friday, December 13 from 7:00 to 8:30. Join in with a sing along while enjoying cocoa, coffee and cookies at the community room and (weather permitting) photos with Santa on the old fire truck will take place at Memorial Plaza.
Holloway Methodist Church “Light Up Holloway” – December 14
Join members of the Holloway Methodist Church for a special “Light Up Holloway” event on Saturday, December 14. Gift card prizes awarded.
Hazen Lodge #251 Breakfast with Santa – December 14
Hazen Lodge will host its annual Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Deccember 14 from 9:00-11:00. The breakfast includes pancakes and sides. The event is “no cost with gifts while they last”.
Lafferty Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting – December 14
The 6th Annual Lafferty Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting will take place Saturday, December 14. The parade moves at 5:00. After the parade residents are welcome to gather at the Lafferty Community Park for hot cocoa, cookies, music, tree lighting and a visit by Santa
Christmas Movie Night – December 15
The Union Local Alumni Association presents “Christmas Movie Night” featuring the movie “Elf” at the Middle School Auditorium, Sunday, December 15. The doors open at 4:00. The event includedes a special preformance by the UL Choir and members of the cast of the high school musical, “Elf, Jr.!” Admission of $5 includes popcorn and a drink.
Union Local Jets Holiday Gift Wrapping Service – December 15
The Union Local Student Council will offer gift wrapping services to the public on Sunday, December 15 from 1:00-5:00 at the school’s Commons. Payment is by donation with a $10 minimum contribution recommended. “Bring your own wrapping paper or choose from our selections.”
