Robert “Bob” Solomon Yockey

Robert “Bob” Solomon Yockey, 73, of Quaker City, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, on his farm.

Bob was born April 22, 1952, in Barnesville, a son to the late George and Catherine (Christman) Yockey.

Bob attended Salt Fork Baptist Church. He drove trucks for many years and loved to farm, participated and attended tractor pulls, go on family trips, and listening to bluegrass music. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great- grandson and was known to be patient and a very good teacher. He loved his dogs, Ringo and the late Axel.

In addition to his parents, Bob is also preceded in death by, his brother, William Yockey and his uncle, Solomon Christman.

He is survived by his wife, Karen (Castello) Yockey, whom he married April 14, 1973; his son, Roger (& Kari) Yockey of Quaker City; his daughter, Rachel (& Dave) Warehime of Quaker City; his grandchildren, Austin (& Lynsey) Warehime, Kaylynn Yockey, Avari Yockey, and Natalie Chumney; his great- grandson, Indie Beros- Warehime; his sister-in-law, Sandy Yockey of Morristown; and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 1PM-3PM and 5PM-7PM at Thorn- Black Funeral Home in Quaker City and services on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 11AM with burial to follow at Pisgah Cemetery.
