BHS Career Fair Planned
Kristi Sloan, career navigator for the Barnesville and Union Local school districts, is busy planning the BHS career fair that will take place on November 25. Hours for the event are from 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 pm. at the high school gymnasium.
In April, Sloan staged a highly successful fair for Union Local High School students. Now, it is Barnesville’s turn.
The purpose of the event is to connect students with a variety of post-graduation opportunities that run the gambit from area businesses, organizations, colleges, unions and armed forces. In addition to full-time employers, students will also hear about summer jobs and internships.
The fair provides students a chance to learn about various career paths and to meet potential future employers face-to-face.
Letters went out to local businesses and professionals. The deadline to register is November 14.
