Nursing, Rehab Center Purchased, Upgrades Underway
This summer the skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located at 400 Carrie Avenue, Barnesville (top of Hunts Avenue), was purchased by a New Jersey firm this summer.
Dating to the 1980s when it was called the Barnesville Health Care Center, in recent years it was known as Astoria Place.
The new owners are upgrading the facility. The parking lot was paved and remodeling is underway in one hallway and the dining room. Heating and cooling systems are also getting attention.
Once work is completed, an “Open House” will take place.
Management and staff at The Enclave hosted the Nov. 12 Barnesville Area Chamber Luncheon where members of the business organization were brought up to date on these changes and others planned by Enclave administrator Kalyn Kuhn.

Also attending the luncheon was Amanda Sobotka – business office/human resources.
